I appreciated this hotel! I have stayed at Sofitel The Grand for 3 nights. And now I can say, that it was the most brilliant and refreshing short vacation, I've ever had! My room was perfect – it was sumptuous and spacious. All the staff I've met were quite polite. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. I will come here once more, I am sure about that)

The hotel was great. 1st of all, the building itself, it's like to dive in a history, in a luxury one. All around was clean and shiny. The staff was so polite, the concierge helped a lot with advices, esp. on the restaurants around. The hotel restaurant offered lots of tasty European dishes too. Our room was nice. The bed was quite comfort despite two twins instead of a double. The location of Grand Sofitel is perfect too. It's close to the Dam square and Van Gogh museum. Be ready only to be taken the deposit from your credit card for breakfasts and minibar, etc.

A great and comfort accommodation, with very polite staff. A really 5 stars. And the location is great - the very center. We were staying a night only, but liked the hotel not less. Lunch in the inner yard was great. And they has got a bar there. The bathroom could be a little larger only. And the parking is much more expensive than in the city itself.

I and my husband were passing Amsterdam in February and stayed one night at the place. We were delighted. Maybe, it's not surprising - the hotel category obliges. The accommodation itself is luxurious as well as the service is. The staff is greatly polite. We liked its restaurant and spa services. And, luckily we were in the room with canal view and were delighted to watch swans flowing.

I spent 7 wonderful nights at the Sofitel Grand Amsterdam while attending a business-conference with my girlfriend. The garden in front of the hotel was lovely and the interior was very nice. The hotel was renovated at the time we were there but neither I nor my girl - friend noticed that. The windows in our room faced the canals – so at nights it was rather romantic… a lot of fresh air…And the staff…they were always so pleased and friendly. I’ve been to many hotels in different countries but this one is the best. I would recommend it to all travelers.
